Mission Statement of Whitwerx Tactical Situational Awareness Tools

Whitwerx exists to ensure that tactical awareness tools are accessible to those who truly need them in the field, rather than just to agencies with larger budgets. 

We operate and maintain a robust TAK infrastructure, which includes a lab server, a reliable Cloud TAK server, and our essential Plume Modeling tool. This setup allows search-and-rescue volunteers, emergency response teams, and the broader tactical and prepper community to achieve real-time situational awareness without the need to establish their own backend solutions. 

What we provide: 

- TAK Server — our lab instance designed for testing and small team usage 

- Cloud TAK — a secure, always-on server that ensures reliability for teams in the field 

- Plume Modeler — tools for constructing and transforming consequence management plume models for TAK use 

- App Development — SpotSHOT: a TAK-enabled cross-platform camera featuring built-in machine learning capabilities 

Access requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis — this isn’t a public free-for-all; we maintain our infrastructure specifically for individuals engaged in meaningful work: SAR volunteers, CERT teams, and the broader community committed to tactical awareness. 

Whitwerx is a small, independent operation. There are no institutional funds behind this initiative — only server bills and the dedication required to keep everything patched, online, and operational when needed.
